What is Golden Savers Fixed Deposit (GSFD)?
Golden Savers Fixed Deposit (GSFD) is based on the Shariah-compliant concept of Al-Bai' Bithamin Aajil(ABBA) or buy-and-sell. It is simple and straightforward investment product that fully guarantees you invested capital. The dividend payment is also guaranteed based on the agree buy and sell price. A GIFD certificate will be issued uopen clearance of deposit funds to every investors as proof of deposits.
What are the investment period options available for GSFD?
GIFD allows you to choose the right investment period (between short-term, medium-term or long-term) based on your personal needs. Available investment periods range from 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 24 months, 36 months, 48 months, 60 months and 72 months.
What is the minimum amount I can invest in GSFD?
The minimum investment amount for GSFD is $20,000. There is no maximum limit. All GSFD will be screened for Anti-Money Laundering activities in with statutory requirements. Investors are required to declare their sources of funds.
What is the dividend rate offered for GSFD?
GSFD rates depend on investment tenor. The longer the investment period, the higher the dividend will be on offer. Your dividend rate is locked and guaranteed at the opening of your investment and we will continue to honor the profit rate agreed with you even if market condition is not favorable. The dividend rates offered for GSFD are continuously updated from time to time. Please check our rates for prevailing rates.
Can I open GSFD under joint names?
GSFD can be opened under joint names, however, the primary investor must be aged 40 and above. Joint investors must specify the signing conditions to transact the fixed deposit investment accounts: requiring both to sign or either one to sign.
What are the terms and conditions for opening GSFD?
GSFD opening is subject to the terms and conditions of BIBD At-Tamwil Berhad is open to individuals aged 40 years old and above only. Investors must be citizens or residents of Brunei aged 12 and above; must be person of good standing; not a bankrupt nor a blacklisted person; and origins of deposit must be from Halal sources and not contrary to the Money Laundering Order, 2000.
What documentations are required for opening GSFD?
GSFD basic supporting documents include identify card. From time to time, BIBD At-Tamwil Berhad may ask for additional supporting documents as and when required.
Is there any penalty if I prematurely withdraw my GSFD?
GSFD will guarantee your original invested sum and we will return 100% of your invested capital upon demand. Any surplus from the original invested sum is at full discretion of the Finance Company and investors have no rights to demand for it.
